I too have the same problem with my CD/DVD ROM I am not able to play or load anything onto my laptop, It spins but nothing onthe screen.. I think it's a software issue cos' the cd's are working-at least the reading part- and some dvd's are working too-those i've mentionned above.. My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite A105-S4384 The drive tries to read but then stops and it doesn’t do anything.. I dont know- I am stumped at the factory installed method Never again- driver problems.. It doesn't load dvd's except the ones that are 'originals' meaning that if i have a bought dvd with music or programs or pc games and stuff and they are 'originals' from the manufacturer i can load them into my pc, but if i have a dvd bought in bulk and written on another pc with any kind of stuff such as games,movies,pictures..
